Description of Company, Goods and Services

This website is owned by The Bean People in South Africa. The Bean People are the originators and manufacturers of all the products contained in this site. The Bean People are a specialist manufacturer of mainly bath toys for children. Our shop online page offers our goods directly to the public.

Pricing, Product Descriptions and Availability

All prices displayed on this website can be adjusted to the currency option of your choice by selecting your option from the drop down currency convertor on the web shop page. Prices EXCLUDE delivery. If you are paying by card from another country with another currency, your card company will change the price into your currency at their ruling rate and debit your card account in the currency of your country. Prices and availability of our products on this website are subject to change without notice.

Delivery of Goods

We endeavour to process and dispatch all online shop orders within 24 hours of confirmation of payment. All online shop orders are shipped via DHL couriers – with exception of orders from our home country, South Africa. These SA orders will be shipped via Postnet and will need to be collected from your nearest Postnet branch.  We will always communicate the tracking number of the parcel to our customers once shipped. Any order will further be confirmed by email. Please allow 5-15 days for delivery. It’s a big, big world and if you are far from a main hub there may be delays. We always retain proof of postage.

Returns and Refunds Policy

Should the goods become lost or damaged in the shipping system we will replace the goods or refund the purchase price according to the customer’s preference. However, this can only take place after 6 weeks since date of dispatch in the unlikely event of non delivery. In the event of damage to goods we will require a photo/image of the parcel before opening, upon receipt in order to effect a refund. In such cases please contact us - you will find us approachable as we do not want unhappy customers! The Bean People take responsibility for the sale of goods sold on this website, customer service, customer support and dispute resolution.

Payment

We accept visa/mastercard credit/debit cards for payment on our secure payment page. Payment is effected using the strictest form of encryption, by PayFast (Pty) Ltd who are an approved payment gateway for South African banks. View www.payfast.co.za to view their security policy and certificates.

We also accept bank EFT transfers. This option is available on the shopping cart and our bank account details will be emailed to you on receipt of order. However be aware that international bank transfers can be expensive.

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the card holder is South Africa. Customer details are stored by The Bean People separately, from card details which are entered by the client on PayFast’s secure site.

Product Safety

All of our products are not recommended for use by children under 3 years of age due to the possibility of them being choked on if placed in the mouth. It is the customer’s responsibility to check the suitability of these items for the age of the children for whom you are purchasing. All of our products undergo testing to ensure the safety for children of the materials we use. Our factory strives to maintain Good Manufacturing Practices as specified by International Standard ISO 22716. Our Bath Beans and Sprudels comply with and have been tested against the European Standard on Safety of Toys: BSEN71 parts 1,2 and 3.Our Sprudels have been tested for safety according to European cosmetic product requirements and comply with and have been tested according to: Ingredient Review; Labelling Review; Toxicological Risk Assessment; 6 heavy metals; Microbial Contamination; Free Formaldehyde Content and various REACH regulations. Our products have also been tested according to North American Safety compliance.

All the designs, including text, graphics, logos and images used in the content of this site are the copyright of The Bean People and are protected by international copyright law. The Bean People, Magical Beans, Bath Beans and  Sprudels are registered trade marks and their usage thereof is governed by international trade mark agreements and laws. No content of this website may be copied or printed for commercial use unless consented to by The Bean People.

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and The Bean People choose as their domicillium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this document, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature the following address: Unit 3, Fish Eagle Industrial Park, Kommetjie Road, Cape Town, South Africa.

Variation
